Peacefully at the Sault Area Hospital on Saturday, December 28, 2024 at the age of 71. Dearly beloved Mother of Laura Sirie (Aubertin) and Jenny Aubertin. Precious Nana of Arien Aubertin, Kyan Sirie, Rhyan Filek, Jackson Filek, Elliette Filek, Lucy Sirie-Francis and Sawyer Filek.
Eva lived a life filled with warmth, kindness, and an unwavering love for the simple joys of the world around her. A lifelong lover of music, her collection of hundreds of cassette tapes was a testament to her deep passion. She had a special bond with her animals and her home was always alive with the beauty of her flourishing garden and house plants. Eva also enjoyed reading, crocheting, and savoring the quiet moments in life, often with a cup of coffee or Pepsi in hand.
Eva faced the challenges of mental health throughout her life with great courage and resilience.
Despite the struggles she endured, she never gave up and fought each day with strength, showing a determination to live on her own terms. Eva's understanding and compassion touched everyone she met. She lived with a heart full of love, always ready to lend a listening ear or a helping hand.
Eva leaves behind a legacy of warmth, kindness and a gentle reminder to embrace life's small but meaningful pleasures. Her nurturing spirit and gentle heart will be dearly missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
As per Eva’s wishes, there will be no services. Cremation has taken place, and she is back in the arms of her family. Memorial donations to the Canadian Mental Health Association would be appreciated.
