Peacefully passed away with her daughter Janine and her son-in-law Al by her side, at the FJ Davey Home on Sunday, October 1, 2023, ten days shy of her 96th birthday. She is now reunited with her beloved husband, Michael and her son Gary Diotallevi. Survived by her dear children Diane Maubach, Mark Diotallevi (Katharine) and Janine Suraci (Al). Proud Nonna of Dante and Julia (Eli) Diotallevi, Caelan, Liam and Carina Hargis. Predeceased by her parents Cesare and Maria Tagliabracci and her siblings Ereda Simonini (Lino), Enes Nanni (Ignatius), Louis (Nina), Hector (Virginia), Elvino (Polly), Silvio (Lisa) and Jerry. She was a loved auntie to her many nieces and nephews and will be fondly remembered by the Diotallevi and Muio families.

Eseda was a loving and supportive mother and was the epitome of a loving Nonna who enjoyed long summers at the cottage with her husband Michael. She enjoyed gardening and was a phenomenal cook. Eseda loved a good book and liked the challenge of a crossword puzzle. She was a great seamstress, who enjoyed sewing, knitting, embroidery, needlepoint, upholstery, and cutwork. She said her rosary daily for those she loved and cared about and accepted events in her life with grace.

Eseda spent many years working for a jewellery store, bookstore and was a bookkeeper at a construction company. She also spent some time working for Marion’s Fabrics selling sewing machines and taught at Sault College and Batchawana.

Friends and family are invited to attend a Memorial Mass at St. Gregory’s Church on Friday, October 6, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. with Father Trevor Scarfone officiating. Memorial donations to the FJ Davey Home or Pauline’s Place would be appreciated by the family. A heartfelt thank you to the FJ Davey Home Birch 2 for their care and compassion shown to Mom and our family. Arrangements entrusted to Northwood Funeral Home Cremation and Reception Centre (942 Great Northern Rd, 705-945-7758). www.northwoodfuneral.com
