(1956 – 2025)

With broken hearts, we announce the unexpected passing of Susan at home on Friday, January 17, 2025 in her 68th year with her loving husband Bob of 46 years by her side. She leaves behind her heartbroken children Jason and Melissa (Kevin) who she loved beyond words. Predeceased by her loving parents Ownie and Lois Jones and in-laws George and Betty Chanda. Caring sister of the late Jennifer (late John), the late Dennis (Donna), Terry, John (Gisele) and Brian. She loved them with all her heart. Sister-in-law of Jim (Sue), Fran (Jim) and David (Sheila). Fondly remembered by her many nieces and nephews. Susan was lucky enough to have shared a close bond with many cousins especially Vicki and Brenda. Growing up like sisters, she always called them her "dearest friends". A friend to many, with a special thank you to Patti for always being one to her.

Susan was a great cook, but perogies and cabbage rolls were her specialty. She was also known as the "Fish Fry Queen" at McCauley's hotel. She loved her family unconditionally and was happiest around them. She was a giving soul and always worried about others more than herself. She liked to dance and loved all kinds of music, especially Alan Jackson. She loved everything about Christmas and never forgot anyone's Birthday. She enjoyed camping with her husband or sitting around a fire having a Blue. She had the best sense of humour and a great laugh that will be truly missed by all that knew her.

At Susans' request there will be no funeral services. Cremation will take place with a small family gathering at a later date. In lieu of flowers memorial donations to the Goulais Fire and Rescue, Algoma Residential Community Hospice (ARCH) or the Make a Wish Foundation would be appreciated. Arrangements entrusted to Northwood Funeral Home Cremation and Reception Centre (942 Great Northern Rd, 705-945-7758). www.northwoodfuneral.com
