Passed away peacefully at home on March 12, 2020 at the age of 75. Predeceased by her husband, Guy Charpentier. Mother of Lori Smith, Monica Smith (Larry) Sammit), Kathy Smith and David Smith (Tina Mejaki). Grandmother of David, late Justin, Jake, Kaitlyn, Taylor, Alex, Owen, Cassandra and Natalie. Great grandmother of William and Joseph. Karen will be especially missed by her fur baby, Oscar. Predeceased by her parents Anthony & Helen Diotte. Sister of late Robert, Ron (Irma), Lynda Porter and Kerry (Clare). In keeping with Karen’s wishes, there will be no visitation or service. The family would like to thank all the doctors and nurses who made Mom comfortable in her final days. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Sault Area Hospital Cancer Care Fund or the Heart & Stroke Foundation.
