Our beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend went to be with her Lord in her 86th year on Friday, April 4, 2025, at the North Bay Hospital.

Marilyn was born on September 30, 1939, to Henry and Edna (nee Hagan) Ingram, the oldest girl of 7 siblings including Ron, Murray (Wilma), Barb Froude (John) all predeceased, and Don (Laurel), Rita Smith (late Earl), and Les (Barb). Predeceased by her in-laws William and Eva (nee Nicholson) Deeley.

Marilyn married George Robert Deeley 65 years ago on May 21, 1960. Loving and supportive parents to Heather Wood (Gary), Glen (Judie), Wendy Deeley (Art Piette) and Sandra Perrin (Steven).

Marilyn and George are Grandparents to Pamela (Nathan), Jonathan, Anthony (Megan), Sarah (Matt), Laura (Andrew), Shannon (Brad), André, Cheryl (Ben), and Brad. They are also the Great-Grandparents to 18 great grandchildren. She will be dearly missed by nieces, nephews and friends.

Marilyn was a nurse and worked at Toronto Sick Kids and the Blind River Hospital. She also volunteered her time and nursing expertise at Berean Childrens’ Camp.

She enjoyed and participated in many hobbies including golf, reading, board puzzles, knitting, crocheting, photography, canning and quilting. She was very handy and proficient at making home repairs.

Marilyn was a help meet in George’s church ministry and played an important clerical role in the television ministry Focus on the Bible. She and George also ran a successful advertising business.

She invested significant time and energy into researching family history through genealogy. She created volumes of family history books which she distributed to them. These books will continue to serve her family for future generations.

Marilyn was the family matriarch, and her family will forever miss her unconditional love and unwavering support.

The family wishes to thank the staff at North Bay Regional Hospital for their kind, compassionate care.
