(June 8, 1964-March 31, 2024)

Tragically and senselessly, at the age of just 59, on March 31, 2024, we said goodbye to our beloved brother Joey.

Very much-loved son of the late Barbara Arsenault and the late John Horton, stepson of the late Gaston Arsenault. Cherished brother of Rob (Ila), John (Laura), Barbie, and Josh (Amanda). Fun loving uncle, nephew, cousin, friend.

Quiet and shy, reserved, and mild-mannered, the handful of us who knew him best knew that that gentle exterior housed a very misunderstood, lost, yet perpetually searching soul. Joey never found where he belonged during his life, but he experienced acceptance and unconditional love amongst us, his family, with whom he felt safe and free enough to be himself. We find solace knowing that his search is finally over, and he is where he belongs, happy, safe, free, and at peace with the person he loved the most, his biggest supporter, our Mom, and his greatest defender, our Jesus. No more hurt Joey, no more pain. We’ll keep fighting for you, but in the meantime, be at peace sweet brother, rest easy, till we meet again.

A private graveside service will be held later this summer.

To respect and honour Joe’s wishes, the family is requesting privacy at this time while they grieve his loss.
