December 25, 1934 - September 9, 2018 - On Sunday, September 9, 2018 heaven’s gates open and welcomed a wonderful man, husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather, Alan Huckerby. He was 83. Son of the late Mona and Frank Huckerby and brother to Neville Huckerby (Sheila), the late Derek Huckerby and the late Gerald Huckerby (Margaret). Brother-in-law to Enid Littlewood, Nesta Littlewood and Margaret Buxton. He was loved and will greatly be missed by his wife of 62 years, Lilian, and especially his children; the late Greg Huckerby, Angela Pezzotti (Tony), Karen Jones (Darcy), Darrell Huckerby, Craig Huckerby and Gary Huckerby (Deedee). He held a special place in his heart for his grandchildren and loved teaching them all kinds of things; Jake Marinich (Ellysha), Alexandrina Pezzotti (Brodie), Justin Pezzotti (Erin), Adam Huckerby (Jenna), Zach Huckerby (Patti), Nikki Jones (Josh), Mikayla Huckerby and Baylee Huckerby. He always loved seeing his great grandchildren and watching them grow; Carter, Addison, Gavin, Quintin, Reid, Finn, Sylas and the late Grayson. He was anxiously waiting and looking forward to meeting the newest Huckerby, Logan. Alan will also be missed by many other family and friends. He loved family gatherings, and as he wanted there will be a celebration of his life at a later date. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions to the Kidney Foundation or charity of your choice would be appreciated. Special thanks to all the ICU nurses and Dr. Landry at the Sault Area Hospital.
