KUCHER, Dorothy (1922-2023) – Passed away peacefully in her 102nd year, on Thursday, November 9, 2023 at the FJ Davey Home. Predeceased by her husband Nick. Loving mother of Nick (Suzanne), John (AnneLii) and Frank (Brenda). Cherished grandmother of Robert, Tanya (Mike), Brandan, Frank (Erin), Isaac, Nathan (Larissa). She will always be remembered by her great grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Predeceased by her parents Frank and Antoinette Arcangeletti, sister Ange Shunock (late George), Jane Barsanti (late Harvey), Marie Travaglini (late Beech), Pauline Vresk (late Frank), brothers John Arcangeletti (late Blanche), Jimmy Arcangeletti (late Gloria), brother-in-law Jim Kucher (late Mary), sister-in-law Annie Verdoni (late Tony), Paulie Bumbacco (late Mello), Peter Carter and many aunts and uncles.
Dorothy was an excellent cook, famous for her tarts and chiff choff the hotter, the better. She worked at Tom Allens Ladies Wear and the Root River Golf Club for many, many years.
As per Dorothy’s wishes, cremation has taken place, and a Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. Memorial donations to the FJ Davey Home or the Algoma Residential Community Hospice (ARCH) would be greatly appreciated by the family.
