In Loving Memory of Paul Legris
May 1, 1957 – March 31, 2025
It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Paul Legris, a beloved husband, father, brother and friend, on March 31, 2025, at the age of 67. Paul was born on May 1, 1957, in Sudbury, Ontario, and passed away in Elliot Lake, Ontario, surrounded by those who loved him. Predeceased by his brother Larry, father TP and mother Ruth, Legris. Survived by his wife Brenda Legris, and daughters Blayr and Bryar Legris.
Survived by siblings, Pat (Lil), Milan (Cheryl), Mary (Tal), Lisa, and Kelly (Michael), his granddaughter Raegan and many nieces and nephews.
Paul was the owner and general manager of the Ford dealership, where his dedication and hard work were known far and wide. A true workaholic, Paul was the definition of commitment and excellence. He was always willing to go above and beyond, often putting others’ needs ahead of his own. Whether it was bending over backward to ensure the job was done right or offering his help to anyone in need, Paul’s generosity and integrity touched the hearts of all who knew him. His legacy in the community, where he was both an active participant and a leader, will not soon be forgotten.
Outside of work, Paul was an avid golfer and loved to host gatherings and parties, bringing people together with his infectious energy and wit. He had a talent for making everyone laugh, often with a clever nickname for each person he met. It was a rare occasion when Paul called anyone by their real name—he preferred to make everyone feel special in his own unique way.
Paul’s quick wit, generosity, and larger-than-life personality will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing him. He was a man who could never sit still, always seeking new ways to make a difference and to enjoy life. Paul’s memory will live on through his work, his love of family, and the countless lives he touched.
Paul leaves behind his beloved family and friends, who will cherish his memory forever.
A celebration of his life will be held.. where we’ll share stories, laughter, and of course, a few more nicknames.
In lieu of flowers or gifts, a donation in Paul’s name, can be made to the St. Josephs Foundation of Elliot Lake.
