It is with great sadness that we wish to announce the passing of Judith Ann Libby (Crowder), long time resident of Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario who died peacefully at the Osgoode Care Centre in Metcalfe, Ontario on Sunday, June 23, 2024, at the age of 76.
Predeceased by her loving husband, Frederick Hugh Libby. Judy was the daughter of the late Gladys Crowder (Wilson) and the late Lloyd Donald Crowder, step-daughter of the late Margaret (Marjorie) Crowder. Judy is survived by her sister, Sandra Margaret Black and by her brother-in-law, Allen Carl Black. She will be missed by her cousins, nieces, great-nephews, and a great-niece who loved her very much.
Judy’s family are forever grateful to her devoted friend and caregiver, Betty Sim of Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario as well as to Betty’s family who treated Judy as one of their own.
Sincere thanks to the kind staff of Osgoode Care Centre – all the administrative staff, health care staff and volunteers who went out of their way to make Judy comfortable. The compassionate care that Judy received during her stay as resident from March to June 2024 meant the world to her and to her family.
A service to honour and celebrate the life of Judy Libby will be held on Tuesday July 9th 2024 at 2:00pm at the Emmaus Anglican Church at 1643 Wellington Street East, Sault Ste. Marie.
Donations made to the Humane Society at 962 Second Line East, Sault Ste. Marie in Judy’s memory would appreciated.
