October 10, 1946 – June 19, 2025
With profound love and sadness, we announce the passing of Roberta on Thursday, June 19, 2025 surrounded by the deep and enduring love of her family.
Roberta was a devoted and loving mother to her three daughters: Erin Miller (Ariel Vinizki), Jodie Miller (Emil Barclay), and Becky Miller (John Foglia). She raised them with endless love, wisdom, and quiet strength - instilling in them the values of kindness, courage, and compassion. Her home was always a place of comfort, laughter, and unwavering support.
She was also a proud and adoring grandmother to seven beloved grandchildren: Charlotte and Claire Piccolo, Mila Foglia, Oscar and Violet Vinizki, and Leo and Sam Barclay. Roberta treasured every moment spent with them - from cuddles and story times to celebrations and quiet chats. They were the light of her life, and her love will continue to shape their lives in beautiful ways.
Born on October 10, 1946, Roberta was the eldest of twelve children. From a young age, she embraced a life of caring for others, setting the tone for a lifetime of strength, generosity, and quiet determination. Her siblings were not only her family but her village - each playing a special role in her life. She leaves behind a loving and devoted family of siblings: Jack Theriault (Gerry), Pat Nanne (Michael), late Paul Theriault (Janice), late Michael Theriault, Peter Theriault (Kim), Kenny Theriault, Leonard Theriault (Pat Dewar), Hyla O’Boyle (late Peter), Nancy Doan, Lori Griggs (Joe), and Lynne Miller (Kip). The bond they shared was a source of joy and strength throughout her life.
She is also remembered fondly by her bountiful circle of cousins, nieces, and nephews, each of whom held a special place in her heart. Roberta’s role as a sister, aunt, and cousin was one she cherished deeply, and her love extended naturally to everyone in her wide and welcoming family.
Roberta dedicated her professional life to the education of young children as a primary school teacher. She had a special gift for reaching young minds and hearts, and her gentle spirit left a lasting impact on generations of students who remember her not only for what she taught, but for how she made them feel.
We would also like to extend our heartfelt thanks to the many friends who walked alongside Roberta throughout her life. Your kindness, laughter, and steady presence brought her immense happiness and comfort. She was deeply grateful for the connections she shared, and the joy you brought into her life will never be forgotten.
Roberta found beauty in life’s simple pleasures, and her favorite song, “What a Wonderful World,” captured the deep gratitude and hope with which she viewed the world around her. Her outlook was one of quiet optimism, love, and enduring kindness.
Roberta’s legacy is one of love, resilience, and grace. She will be dearly missed and forever remembered by her family and friends and all who had the privilege of knowing her.
