What’s in a Name

Leaving Earth on Father’s Day, job well done,
A life complete , a race well run.
But here on earth, the aching is real.
A line in the sand
before and after we feel.
The heartbreak of missing, the space you once filled,
A silence that speaks, a love that’s distilled.
And always you taught your family this claim:
“What’s in a name?” It’s more than a name.
It’s the love we give and the truths we stay,
The memories made, that never decay.

And in the name of Dad, forever it rings,
In music, in heaven, with eternal wings.

We love and miss you Dad. Every minute, every day, every song that must play.

Forever in our hearts,

Carrissa, Wesley and Charlene
