April 30, 1951 – March 4, 2025

It is with great sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Peter Proulx on March 4, 2025, surrounded by loved ones. Peter’s life was a testament to hard work, passion, and the deep bonds he forged with family and friends.

Born in Toronto, Ontario, in 1951, Peter grew up in Sault Ste. Marie, where, with the unwavering support of his beloved mother, Iris, he first laced up his skates and discovered his love for hockey. His talent on the ice earned him a full scholarship to Dartmouth College, where he proudly played for the Big Green in the early 1970s, showcasing his skill and competitive spirit.

In 1992, Peter relocated with his family to Kelowna, where he built a long and successful career at Harmony Honda.

An avid golfer, Peter could often be found on the fairways, perfecting his swing. During the winter months, he traded the crisp Okanagan air for the warmth of Puerto Vallarta, a place that became just as much home to him and Sharlene as Kelowna. Whether in Canada or Mexico, Peter’s infectious spirit and warmth touched everyone he met.

Peter leaves behind his loving spouse, Sharlene; his cherished daughter, Aimee; his son-in-law, Jesse; and his adored grandson, Malcolm. Peter also loved the family he inherited from Sharlene. Sharlene’s sons Brooks Stocks (Amanda) and Jarrod Stocks (Ashley), and their children, who lovingly referred to him as GP (Grandpa Pete) - Ava, Kyler, Parker, Halle. As an avid athlete and sports fan, Peter never missed an opportunity to cheer on the grandkids at their activities.

He also never missed Hockey night in Canada, watching his Toronto Maple Leafs. Go Leafs, Go!

He is also remembered by a wide circle of friends who loved him dearly and will carry his memory in their hearts.

Peter’s legacy is one of love, laughter, and living life to the fullest. He will be deeply missed.
