We are saddened to announce the passing of Raimo Ranta peacefully at the F.J. Davey Home on Sunday, July 8, 2018 at the age of 82. Loving husband of the late Myrna Joyce Ranta. Loving son of the late Aarne and Siiri Ranta and son-in-law of the late George and Helen Fiacconi. Dear brother-in-law of the late Royce Fiacconi Sr. (late Barbara), and Henry Fiacconi (Elizabeth). Dearest Uncle of Richard Fiacconi (Beverly), Royce Fiacconi Jr., Ronald Fiacconi (Gina), David Fiacconi (Tamara), Martin Fiacconi, and Jennifer Fiacconi (Jason Thompson). Adored Great Uncle of Chelsea (Milan), Claudio, Sierra, Jessica, Courtney, Michelle, Ryan, Zachary, Tyler. He will also be missed by his many cousins, extended family and numerous friends. Raimo was an avid sportsman who enjoyed curling, fishing, tennis, boating, and his camp at Pumpkin Point. Memorial contributions to the F.J. Davey Home Foundation would be greatly appreciated. Interment to be held Tuesday, July 31 at 11:00 am at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.
