(April 22, 1939 – February 28, 2019) - It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Percy Running at Sault Area Hospital on Thursday February 28, 2019 at the age of 79. Ready to greet him in heaven is his daughter, Dolores ready for their next cribbage match. Left to grieve his loss is his wife Dolores, and children Terry-Lyn (Rob) and Randy (Tanya). Percy was the proud grandfather of Brandon, Katelyn and Robert Beckman, McKena and Camden Cowan, and Gaige and Cale Running.

Percy worked over 44 years in Product Control at Algoma Steel, and was proud to be born and raised in this Steel Town.

Percy was an avid fisherman, spending many days pulling rainbow trout out of the Chippewa River and the Mud. He also shared many great stories of his hunting buddies and the great times they had chasing the illusive moose in the Pukaskwa National Park.

Friends are invited to a Celebration of Life on Tuesday March 5, 2019 from 6:00-7:00 p.m. at O’Sullivan Funeral Home and Cremation Centre (215 St. James St, corner of Cathcart and St. James St) with a brief service at 7:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Sault Area Hospital Foundation. Special thanks to the SAH Emergency Room staff for taking such great care of Percy in his final hours.

In his words “This is PWR signing off”.
