Armas Tekoniemi, 88, peacefully passed away Friday, January 4, 2019 at the F.J. Davey Home in Sault Ste. Marie, ON. He is survived by his wife, Anna; his children Al (Cathy), Jorma (Janet), Marita (Curtis), and Eric (Säde-Lea); his grandchildren Kevin and Christopher (Jenn); his great-granddaughter, Lilly; his daughter-in-law, Helinä; and his sisters Linnea and Anni, as well as numerous family members and friends in Finland. He was pre-deceased by his grandson, Luukas. The family would like to extend their deep gratitude to the staff of Apple Orchard, 3rd Floor at the F.J. Davey Home, for their excellent care. A memorial service will take place at Kotikirkko/Life Spring Church on Saturday, January 12, 2019 at 2:00 pm.
