Peacefully passed away at the Sault Area Hospital with her loving family by her side on Friday, May 3
rd, 2019 in her 82
nd year. Born in Sault Ste Marie on March 8
th, 1937. Lovingly remembered by her sons Robert “Bob” (Michelle) and Mark (Amy). Predeceased by her son Michael. Proud, caring and loving Nana to Kristen and Jason (Lindsay). Daughter of the late Harold and Lylia Smith. Dear sister of Joan Ryckman, Beatrice Wickham (late Tom), Joyce Corcoran (Geordie), David Smith (Cathy), Roy Smith (Debbie) and predeceased by Marion Buck (Alvin), Harold Smith Jr. (late Lorraine), Margaret Nelson (Bob), Lois Miket and Gordon Smith. Caring aunt and great aunt to many nieces and nephews. Mom/Nana/Dorothy/Aunty Dot loved spending time with her family and extended family never missing a birthday or holiday. She was a kind, caring, selfless and compassionate woman who had a positive outlook on life. After her family, her next love was hockey, with season tickets to the Soo Greyhounds she’d never miss a home game. In keeping with Dorothy’s wishes, there will be no visitation or service.
