YOUTH CHARGED WITH ASSAULT (CHAPLEAU, ON) – On October 5, 2012 the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Superior East Chapleau Detachment were advised of an assault that had occurred the night prior at the Chapleau Recreational Centre.

Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) are reporting that Highway 17 is closed 35 kilometres south of Wawa. The highway is closed in both directions because a pickup truck pulling a trailer has jackknifed and is blocking both lanes.
