MISSING FISHERMEN SAFE AND SOUND (WAWA, ON.

Impaired Driver Leaves Wawa on a Bus (WAWA, ON.) – On April 13th at 3:30PM, Superior East OPP, Wawa stopped a car for speeding on Highway 17 just South of Wawa. The driver was given a roadside test and registered a Fail.

HOME PARTIALLY DAMAGED BY FIRE NO INJURIES (Vankoughnet Twp., ON) – At 5:40 pm yesterday OPP and the Goulais River First Response were dispatched to a structural fire to a residence in the 100 block of Groth Road in Goulais River.

Chapleau OPP are currently investigating a single motor vehicle collision on Hwy 129, Birch Twp. (60 kms south of Chapleau) that occurred yesterday Monday April 12th 2010 at approximately 10:00pm. Chapleau Volunteer Fire Dept.

FATAL COLLISION (Latchford, Ontario) Members of the Temiskaming Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police are presently investigating a fatal motor vehicle collision involving two transport trucks that occurred at approximately 5:39 a.m.

HIGHWAY 17 CLOSURE NORTH OF WAWA (WAWA, ON) – Further to our previous media release regarding closure of Highway 17 south to Batchewana/Sault Ste Marie area. (Both directions).

Laird Twp Residential Break and Enter (Laird Twp. ON) – Between 6:00 p.m. and 9:00p.m. a residence on the 700 block of Finn’s Bay road in Laird Twp was entered. Stolen was a 52 inch Samsung LCD TV.

MALE CHARGED AFTER FIGHT (Blind River, ON.) - On April 1, 2010 at 4:30 a.m. officers from the East Algoma OPP were called to an apartment on West St in Blind River where a male had possibly been stabbed.
