STOLEN VEHICLE REPORTED ( Hodgins Twp., ON): On Thursday, April 29th the owner of a vehicle that was for sale were approached by a male and female who took the vehicle for a test drive and did not return it.

TRAFFIC STOP LEADS TO CHARGES (CHAPLEAU) – On April 27, 2009 OPP in Chapleau had occasion to check a vehicle and male driver on Highway 101 in Cochrane Township.

TRAFFIC STOP NETS DRUG SEIZURE (SERPENT RIVER, ON.) – On April 27th 2009 at 10:20 a.m. while on general patrol Constable Wilson from the East Algoma-Blind River detachment stopped a vehicle for speeding.

12 Hour Suspension (WHITE RIVER) – On April 24, 2009 at 1:54 pm officers had occasion to stop a vehicle for speeding just south of White River on Highway 17. Officers, upon speaking to the male driver, noted the smell of alcohol on his breath.

Road Closure Advisory (Tarbutt Township, Ontario) On April 23, 2009 at approximately 4:30 p.m. the East Algoma OPP received a call involving a residence on MacLennan Road, Tarbutt Township, Ontario.

Update on CASS Threats (Desbarats, Ontario) On April 23, 2009 at approximately 12:25 hours the East Algoma OPP were advised of a threat towards Central Algoma Secondary School. Police have concluded their investigation into the threats.

THREATS UTTERED – ONE PERSON ARRESTED (Desbarats, ON.) – On Thursday April 23, 2009 at approximately 12:20 p.m. the East Algoma OPP were contacted regarding threats being made towards Central Algoma Secondary School.

Attempt Break-In to Senior’s Apartment (Blind River, ON.) – On the 21 Apr.09 a resident of a local apartment building was awakened by a noise at her window. It appears as though some brave person was attempting to break in to the apartment.

LOCAL RESTAURANT VICTIM OF BREAK, ENTER AND THEFT (Elliot Lake, Ontario) While on general patrol, an officer of the East Algoma OPP observed a backdoor of the Rocky’s Restaurant insecure.
