FORMER ELLIOT LAKE RESIDENT CHARGED (Elliot Lake, Ont.) The East Algoma OPP has charged a former Elliot Lake resident with several charges after receiving a complaint from a local business.

CHECK BEFORE YOU COMMIT! (Elliot Lake, Ont.) On Monday, January 28, 2008 police were advised that a local resident of Elliot Lake had received a telephone call from an unknown person soliciting funds for the local Fire Department.

DRIVER CHARGED AFTER SINGLE VEHICLE COLLISION (Elliot Lake, Ont.) On Friday, the 25th of January 2008 at approximately 5:44 a.m. police were dispatched to attend Highway 108 regarding a motor vehicle collision.

ILLEGAL TELEPHONE CALLS Goulais River, Ont., Sault Ste Marie OPP are seeking a warrant for the arrest of a Goulais River man after he violated court orders.

INFORMATION REGARDING COUNTERFEIT MONEY (Elliot Lake, Ont.) The East Algoma OPP in Elliot Lake, during the last couple of weeks have received several calls regarding possible counterfeit 5-dollar bills.

ONLY ONE CRASH YESTERDAY (Batchawana Bay, Ont.) Sault Ste Marie OPP investigated one collision on Hwy 17 in the Batchawana Bay area. At about 8:00 a.m. yesterday a northbound car lost control and went into the ditch.

HWY CLOSURE MAY BE ANOTHER 24 HOURS (Batchawana Bay, Ont.) Sault Ste Marie OPP are now advising that Hwy 17 between Batchawana Bay and Wawa may be closed for at least another 24 hours.

Drug Trafficking Charges (Blind River, Ont.) A local man was charges with two drug related offences after East Algoma O.P.P. received a complaint of drug trafficking in mid December. East Algoma O.P.P.

MINOR INJURIES IN SNOW PLOW – TRANSPORT CRASH (Laird Twp, Ont.) The driver of a snow plow received minor injuries yesterday after his plow flipped over after being struck by a transport. At about 7:30 a.m.
