FIRE IN IRON BRIDGE Early this morning, a fire completely destroyd a home in Iron Bridge. O.P.P. officers say the building was burned right to the ground. There were no injuries and arson is not suspected at this time.

Goulais River, Ont., Sault Ste Marie OPP is investigating a break and enter to a variety store in Goulais River. At about 2:00 a.m. officers responded to an alarm at the store and found the front door smashed.

MANITOULIN ISLAND WOMAN INJURED BY BEAR Ice Lake, Ont. Yesterday evening at 10:10, an 81-year-old woman of Highway 540 near Gore Bay on Manitoulin Island let her dog out for a run.

ARRESTED FOR ARSON FIRE NORTH OF CITY Mekatina Siding, Ont., A Sault Ste Marie man is in police custody after a garage was found on fire near the isolated community of Mekatina , north of Sault Ste Marie. Yesterday at about 1:00 p.m.

MINOR INJURIES IN MOTORCYCLE COLLISION Prince Twp. A Sault man received minor injuries after his motorcycle slid out from under him. Yesterday at about 1:30 p.m., the driver, John Maione, age 25, was westbound on Hwy 550.
