Yes he is able to do so. I checked with a lawyer re Trudeau making some of his comments and was told it is his right just as well as yours or mine.
You know what gets me the Left shouts and screams when they feel they do not have a say. But if a conservative says anything we are told to shut up. This is the hypocracy of the left. We are only allowed to free speach if it does not offend them. Stephin Harper one of the greatest Prime Ministers has the right to speak his mind. As do I. I totally agree with Trump with Iran. I agree. Lefts always preach about being “all accepting” and inclusive, but the second you voice your own opinion that’s in any way against their own views, your a far right extremist. Free speech won’t exist soon enough if liberals don’t get kicked out. I’ll always be a hard conservative.

Hate speech wasn’t even a thing that got tossed around and overused until the overly sensitive lefts got into play. Just because I don’t like something, and I have my own freedom of opinion, doesn’t mean it can automatically be labelled hate.

Been catching the trudeau show lately. If it wasn't so serious it would be funny.
It doesn't matter who he is or what he believes. He has, as do we, the right to express a viewpoint. You are expressing your own opinion and viewpoints right here - no differently than is he. It is a right. Our right. Because he paid for it, is irrelevant. That too, is his right.
Linda you are right, we all have the right to voice our opinions and should do so respectfully. The difference is, and this is why I took issue with it, he is a high profile ex Prime Minister, and as such should have common decency to never voice his opinion for or against a sitting government so publicly.
Unfortunately our prime minister is already a lame duck and this is a tough time in the world. Not a time for weakness.
