Should everyone wear a poppy? YES! Should you assume that someone not wearing a poppy is an immigrant with no respect for our vets? NO.

That is why Don got in trouble, he singled out immigrants and not just everyone.

is is truly sad that all the people who cry free speech have no idea what that actually means.

Don was free to say what ever he wanted, he was not arrested and is not facing criminal charges. Unfortunately that does not make him free from consequences of his speech. And he did not say "every Canadian should wear a poppy" He singled out a specific group, being immigrants.

Oh, and by the way, this is nothing to do with Trudeau, people have lost their jobs over stuff like this, long before he was PM.

After his comments on Coach's Corner, should Don Cherry be taken off the air?

also, more and more of the younger people are not wearing them, WWI, WWII, Korea, etc are so far in the past it has no meaning to them.Growing up in the 60s and 70s, we had relatives that had served or our friends had relatives that served. It brought it closer to home. we now have a couple generations who have relatives that they never met who served and because of that the importance is being lost on them.

"You people love, they come here, whatever it is, you love our way of life, you love our milk and honey. The least you could pay [is] a couple of bucks for a poppy or something like that," Cherry said on the segment. "These guys pay for your way of life that you enjoy in Canada. These guys pay the biggest price."

TF, when you get a job that pays a set salary instead of by the hour, you can wind up making less per hour than if you worked min wage.

My how times have changed

In 2012, North Bay MPP Vic Fedeli called for an inquest into a rash of highway fatalities in northeastern Ontario. “With so many deaths occurring in a relatively small geographic area, it is critical that these incidents be thoroughly investigated so that we can reduce the likelihood that more Ontario families will experience the grief associated with a fatal accident,” he said, noting that his office had been swamped with complaints about highway maintenance.“There’s one common theme in all of those
comments – that the work to clear area highways of ice and snow hasn’t been good
enough, and not as good as it has been in the past…”
