If people would actually read the history of the Crimean Peninsula they will find 75% of the people are Russian....Russia put Crimea under Ukraine's authority back in 1954....so in reality Ukraine never "owned" Crimea....despite what our politicians state when they jump on the bandwagon of sticking up for countries persecuted by big bad Russia....read the facts....https://www.wilsoncenter.org/publication/why-did-russia-give-away-crimea-sixty-years-ago
KeepOnTopic, how about keeping on topic. The Ukrainian ships were seized in international waters in a Russian attempt to strangle the economy of eastern Ukraine which uses those straits to get their exports to non Russian customers. This incident is like the Brits seizing an Italian ship trying to get to the Atlantic thru the Straits of Gilbralter. Pure Russia bullying.
You might want to go back to school. Canada didn’t participate in the Iraq war. We were involved in the gulf war briefly 1990-1991. After Iraq invaded Kuwait, not just for $&!? And giggles
Where were the sanctions against the U.S for the illegal war? A war that's been raging non stop 15yrs.....that we're in now against an enemy that the U.S created by the vacuum after Sadam was disposed of.
I understand that reading and comprehension may be beyond your grasp.

keep on drinking putin's kool-aid
Thank you KeepOnTopic for setting the record straight. The people drinking the 'kool-aid' are the one's that think the USA is our friend.
