4% increase isn’t very much 80$ a year on $2000….?
How about having the city bill the owner(s) for every time police, fire and ambulance have to respond. And I’m guessing to avoid the tax hike the owner just doesn’t notify city. So citizens should call in if they notice a vacant house and hopefully bylaw enforcement responds. Make these people pay pay pay!

Charge more for taxes
Police fire or EMS have to go there….owner(s) get a bill
By-enforcement should be nailing them for everything they can think of.
City takes over the property… demolish the structure and send the ower(s)a bill….

Add an advanced arrow for west bound traffic. See how that works. Cost taxpayers maybe $2,500. Rather than millions to find out it’s just another failure.
Or put it at Wallace terrace and Korah rd where the more room and a heck of a lot less pedestrian traffic.

Only concern I have is those parents or relatives that choose to go out of town for work reasons or other. Come back possibly positive and send their kids to school. Hope they implement restrictions like you went outta town you and your family must get tested and self quarantine

For the first term of the new school year divide the classes make a morning session and an afternoon session. Pay the teachers 1.5-2 hrs overtime to clean their own classroom between sessions. One 15-20 minute nutrition break. No outdoor playing. No books only photo copies of assignments. Same with busing. Also masks should be worn whenever possible.

Trying to harm/kill people’s pets is extremely uncalled for. Use the proper channels. However I have neighbours that have dogs. My family can’t be outside without listening to them bark. And then the constant yelling of “shut up”. Which is just as irritating. I find it somewhat amusing that some owners think there pets are trained then you see them chasing their dog around the neighbourhood screaming their name and yelling come. Yeah oh so trained.
I think barking control devices should be required after a certain number of complaints. The number of pets per household should be limited on a case by case basis

For the most part I think the Sault is doing pretty good at following the restrictions when it comes to social distancing. However it really ticks me off and I’m sure many others that when standing in line where it be at a grocery store or Walmart for example. I see couples standing together in line. Where there should be only 10-15 people ahead of me there’s 15-20. For me I fine I can wait. It’s the seniors and single parents behind them that have to wait even longer. Those stores even have signs stating not to do this. But they do NOT follow them. Get a grip people take some responsibility for your actions it affects everyone!
