With our whole family in southern Ont in a red zone and travel being what it is, we were almost forced to shop on line & have it shipped there; we bought a lot of our gifts at our local Best Buy and had it shipped there; were told that many local major outlets are credited for the sale even though it’s shipped out of town; in previous years we would load up our vehicle, mostly local purchases and off we go; this year in particular we feel for the small local businesses but with so much out migration of our children and travel restrictions (justified), on line delivered purchases has become the norm even for first timers;

Years back the Sault Star had the same issues with “Letters to the Editor”; they solved it very easily by making people sign their real names and addresses; the landscape changed dramatically; may I suggest SooToday try something similar for a 3 month period, publish only those who identify themselves with their real names & addresses; if only to identify the same 10-15 readers who regularly and negatively comment on 90% of the stories; worth a try???

These anti mask- anti vaccine selfish individuals should realize that they are probably alive today because of their predecessors, maybe even their parents, having taking the TB, Small Pox, Polio and other vaccinations.there is an avalanche of solid scientific information that masks protect you from infecting others and others from infecting you. Every human being has the indenialable given right to life. by you not wearing a mask you are infringing on my right to that life. No one is infringing on your right by asking you to help preserve their right to life. If you feel that you out-qualify,or out-credential dr. JRenz is dead on, there are many who wear the masks and social distance and are doing all the safe and right things BUT it makes me so mad to see so many “selfish, I don’t care about my fellow human being, it’s all about me” who totally ignore what health experts are telling us, they know it all and don’t care about the consequences of their selfish, stupid actions. Wake up SSM to the reality of what’s going on; employees at most businesses do not wear masks, they should be mandated to wear them; I do feel a few hefty fines will send out a clear & strong message, these are probably the same ones that drive and text; please all wear masks when physical distancing is not possible, this virus needs a living host to multiply, you could be that host, WEAR MASKS

While most regulars renew year after year, I think a call to someone at Sault North Rotary Club should be able to help you purchase a ticket; BTW, I have purchased similar trip of the month tickets from Sault Area Hospital Foundation (tickets currently on sale), CrimeStoppers and Finish Rest Home Association; hope you snatch a ticket and when you do....good luck...

Sault Area Hospital Foundation is also having a similar trip of the month draw; tickets are $150 and good for 15 draws; 4 draws per day over a 5 day period starts in early Sept.

I agree with others; similar to trying to get concert tickets from Ticketmaster; a supply & demand problem; there certainly were glitches with the program, I had to logout & login & got thru after few times; frustrating to get to last step & then get error message; phone had its own glitches; I still think Algoma Ontario Health Team (AOHT) behind the delivery program & APH did a great job considering the logistics involved. I encountered a huge crowd lined up outside, overheard helper explaining that many were 1 hr earlier than their times & thus lineup; she was telling people come 5-10 min before scheduled times, Once inside they were sooo organized, helpful & professional; less than 30 min from start to end, this is an unprecedented massive undertaking, let’s be patient, cut the system some slack & above all BE GRATEFUL & say Thank You to a great team of health care professionals trying to help us...from me & my family, friends and neighbors THANK YOU AOHT & THANK YOU APH
