The app guarantees those traveling are up to date on their shots. If people were smart and took preventative measures, the app wouldn't be needed. And LOL at the same border agents that demanded travelers wear a mask when crossing at the International Bridge who now complaining about the extra paperwork they must do when a traveler doesn't use the app.

With the high theft rate it has been questioned if stolen property is being sold outside the city. This is a decent idea to keep track of what plates are moving as theft is reported. However local police can't be bothered even investigating theft unless of a commercial nature so how likely is this being used to monitor the moving stolen goods? And how often has an Amber Alert applied for this region of Ontario? Seems to me this is yet another excuse for police to sit at the station and watch monitors instead of patrolling which does deter crime.

I've crossed several times since things opened up and NOT ONCE has a single border official has asked for proof I used the app. In fact one told me they don't NEED to see it at all as when they enter your ID it shows it was completed. So if it registers in the system, how is this slow them down? Only time it would is if a person doesn't use the app which is equivalent to not presenting proper ID or proof of purchases. Truth is, CBSA could fill every entry lane instead of one or two thus eliminating long weekend line ups but seems to prefer relaxing in the air conditioning office.

High staff turn around as they were constantly hiring. Not a cheap place at all. Malls are a thing of the past in most areas. It could survive in a strip mall however companies have realized then can make more profit selling online with less overhead. I expect they will be back in a year or so in a small location.

How long do people think they need to be in a store? 4 hours? Common sense...you put the mask on before you enter the store then take it off after you leave. You don't need it on when you 're driving yet I've seen so many doing just that. I have issues breathing and I wear a mask. If I start having issues I stop for a few seconds, take a deep breath and move on. I' rather deal with a slower shopping pace with a mask than have a ventilator down my throat helping me to breath.

Use a delivery service. Pay a shopper. Do the curbside we were doing before places opened. It's that easy

I have the right to not get infected by someone who won't try and make me safe. It won't kill you to put a mask on for the 10 minutes in a building. If you can't handle that, arrange a pick up.
