I know I speak for my mother when I say that Gail was truly a loving and compassionate friend. She met my mother at Christ Church and was always there doing fun things and sharing experiences with my mother. She definitely had spunk! As years went by they became quite close and would lean on each other for strength at different times. Gail's support and encouragement was always valued and welcome. She was a gift to many and will be greatly missed. We will always remember the wonderful person and friend she was.
May she find peace in the arms of the Lord.

Not even Mapleview has all their tests back! Davey home and Van Daele are still waiting for results. Further they make it almost impossible to remove your loved one from the home for a period of time to protect them. If you pull a resident out they loose their bed and their doctor immediately. Which means no medication! Those residents with high medical needs can’t sit at Emerge for 10 hours waiting for a refill on their prescription every month. I can care for my mother while I work at home but that will last only a couple more weeks maybe a month. Then she would have to go back, but she won’t have a bed to return to and she will be put on a wait list for a spot in any home, not necessarily the one she has been used to for years! Who is that helping? Certainly not the residents that we want to keep safe from Covid!
