Patting oneself on the back I see. I couldn't walk home from work all week due to unfinished sidewalks on Queen.

How about some upgrades to buildings that are actually important to the community rather than only public servants?

I agree 100% with the heightened censorship at SooToday. Our media and news sources are supposed to be democratic institutions that encourage diversity of opinion and thought, in pursuit of the truth. One opinion that is not politically correct, or strays from how SooToday would like to project a story, is censored, and automatically rejected. This is problematic on many levels. It does not sincerely display the truths about how SSM citizens feel about and comment on, the stories they are publishing.

Obviously there's trolls that need to be monitored. But the monitoring at SooToday goes far beyond that. To the point that the organization has its own agenda to push - and very much frames and curates comments on their stories to the editor's likings, thoughts, and beliefs. This is not democratic. Politically correct comments are not the only comments we should be seeing!

Diversity of thought is important and worth hearing. Even when the thoughts conflict with our own.
