Without restrictions or enforcement on expectations?
Story I heard goes like this - earlier this week, a worker at Algoma Steel walks into a washroom and sees a fella he doesn’t recognize. He asked the fella who he is and the guy responds that he is a transport driver from the USA. The worker asks if he was screened crossing the boarder or if Algoma screened him before coming on site (because Algoma released a statement claiming they were doing that) and the guy looked at the worker like he was crazy. The transport driver became agitated by the questioning from the concerned employee and proceeded to laugh him off and walk out.
If the government is making specific arrangements to allow the continued flow of transports over the boarder, I would certainly hope that there was a guideline in place and a way of monitoring the very companies that this allowance is meant to benefit.

- Your point didn’t fly over the head of @Nate77. In fact, I believe it was his satirical commentary regarding your post that flew over yours.
First off - your statement “many people were already abroad when this happened”. This garnered a return statement poking fun at the “sexism” living within your comment. A play on words “abroad and A Broad”. Funny or not - this is not the debate we are having but certainly doesn’t warrant you suggesting it flew over his head. It clearly did not.
Secondly - (and what I feel might be most important) clarification that Europe is not a country as you state.

@Jsee
I don’t think anyone would disagree with you on that point - it’s a fair statement. However, many people have known about what is going on and have made the choice to not act as quickly as they should have. Now they are forced into a panic situation that not only puts them and the people around them at risk. Also, it now creates a lot of logistical issues for a country that is already overwhelmed with what is happening on its own soil.
Plenty of people (I’m sure not all) but there are plenty of people that ignored the request to return home with adequate time to act. These people are now faced with a tall task in returning home with the weird expectation that someone else will now clean up their poor choices.
Again, I’m not referring to all cases but let’s call it a majority, shall we?

Then I suspect you may be doing it wrong.

Malík is the guy. No questions.
The Ice Dogs were unbelievably difficult to watch. A very poor team. So, saying Brkin showed his worth (and I’m not cutting Brkin down) I’m just trying to convey reality. The argument you’re trying to make is likened to me saying “if Malík was in net last night, the Hounds may have shut out the ice dogs rather than let a goal in”. Your position has zero substance.
Malík is a 17 year old - world class elite goaltender. Brkin is a 20/21 year old - steady overage goalie.
As far as I’m concerned, they are both playing exactly how they should be playing considering where they are in their junior career.
Most overage players do excel against their much younger counterparts.
Brkin has played against plenty of contending teams since he has arrived in the Sault. His experience may have helped him win/have a good showing in a game or two... however, considering the athletic displays that we have seen Malík put on in his starts, bring on next season!!

It was brought up previously when the agreement was announced that the Hounds would foot the bill for the scoreboard.
I believe it was stated then and now that part of this initial price tag included a regular score clock that one would find in other local arenas and would be used by our local minor hockey programs. However, should anyone wish to utilize the new score clock, it would be available for rent. I would imagine this is what most likely occurs in any major sports venue and would mean that the rental fee is incorporated into the price of renting the arena for a concert or event.
At any rate - whatever it takes for the Hounds to recoup their money. It’s sad that they are even required to pay for this up front and that it requires such creativity (city foregoing add revenue percentage) to gain back what they will be spending.

So is endlessly shoving your judgment and righteousness upon everyone around you.
I am picking up your sarcasm, so pick up mine.

First off, I would imagine they have gone home for the Christmas break.
Secondly, they don’t get paid anything more than a casual stipend (read the news on the claims for minimum wage).
Lastly, no one should be required to be accountable to a fan like you.

The Pinty slam that they won last night on television was a repeat from a few weeks ago. To my knowledge, this event in BC wasn’t televised at all.

The worker’s story was backed up by an eye witness that was a contractor - also using the washroom. So I guess Algoma is 0 for 2?
