I have a question for any and all of the folk driving this movement....I have been searching in earnest for proof online that defunding police services to better funs social services actually works to reduce crime...I have found hundreds of claims to that effect in the past few days, but zero proof. Can someone show some actual proof?

So I did some googling, and cant find any legit proof that defunding police has any benefit whatsoever, so its simply a theory as far as im concerned. However, I think its obvious that we have voids in our mental health and addiction support systems. Instead of the bat scat crazy notion of reducing police services, why not get rid of the moronic spending and big money giveaways that occur at Federal levels, drop the money pit ideas like 'disarming the legal gun owning public' etc.
Yes, police services need fine tuning, but use the money saved to pay more officers wages.
Stop wasting billions of dollars on making schools LOOK like high end facilities and use the money on actual education.
Put the money where its needed the most, and pay down our deficit with any surplus.

I don't trust most politicians of higher standing. Trudeau in particular (in my opinion) has an agenda that does not reflect the best interest of Canadians.
It would appear this country has slipped increasingly deeper into debt as a result of terrible Liberal management.
This latest attack on legal firearm owners will proove to be yet another massive waste of many millions of tax dollàrs and lost revenues for firearms trade and gun clubs.
He will be coming after the hunters soon.
He admires dictatorship, and although he's wearing a Liberal hat, his communism is showing.

The numbers are bound to increase as they have increased testing and loosened the testing criteria.
It could very well be that the real numbers arent growing at all, or could be slowing.

@Washington.....theres no lockdown. We should all exercise only essential trips to grocery stores etc, but I think everyone needs to get out for regular exercise and fresh air or we will all develop blood clots and sick house syndrome.
We dont live in a dense society, fortunately, depending on which 'dense' im referring to.

My condolences to the family. Teri taught many about the wetland plants at Pancake Bay swamp, coached gymnastics at the Y, and helped shape the minds and passions of many of our young. She participated in life to her fullest ability.
