a cannabis store on every corner was a conservative motion! Wynne wanted them more spread out, 450 meters from school zones, etc. Cannabis was to be sold through the LCBO but Ford stopped it in 2018. I've never heard a conservative complain about something that wasn't something they did.

Listen Gill, I'm in a lot of local comments, You can go through my comments and see how often I disagree with and even be outright hostile to other users. Despite this Sootoday has never once removed a comment from my account or issued a warning to me. Neither has Facebook.

And look I agree with you, anonymous comments are stupid. I literally named myself for it when they switched from the facebook plugin that attached people's name to their posts. You know what was different back then? The comments were always completely civil! If you think she's just talking about criticism being levied you haven't been to enough local comment sections. I've seen everything from death threats to racial slurs and even been dm'd quite a few myself just for commenting. You know why I don't feel targeted by Caputo's rhetoric in this article? Because she's not talking about me.

Every forum the same "I'm afraid to speak my mind/censorship" people are only ever being stopped from criminal misconduct

Kemptville is not a small city! it's basically a suburb of Ottawa! Friend from the valley would conflate these things all the time when I lived there. They want you to think he's from an Echo bay type location but it's just not true. Kemptville isn't 400km from a costco and 800 from an IKEA like we are, we are a sustained city with no nearby amenities. Kemptville is 30 minutes from Parliament!

Yes, he created. Last week when was the last time you even thought about Iran? Trump launched an assassination drone on a high ranking member of a foreign military out of nowhere and Canadians are caught in the crossfire of their retaliation. The Iranian crisis is completely Trump's doing.

Under Wynne's rules it would have been deemed too close to schools to operate there. The Wynne government set the limit that the stores must be at least 450 meters from schools.

"Premier Doug Ford had previously criticized the 450 metres setback as too little.

“I won’t put (cannabis stores] beside schools like you did,” Ford told Wynne during an election debate."

So of course this happened:

Attorney General Caroline Mulroney released a statement Wednesday with more details including the 150-metre setback.

So it would be too close under Wynne's rules but it's fine under Ford's. On google maps from property line to line measures 200M

I had sources for this but it kept getting removed. Copy the quotes to see them in full
