Oh my goodness. Robertson is a very highly respected journalist. He has been a senior editor, news anchor and is a host with W5. I doubt that you can find any other person who is as experienced and as respected as he is in matters of the news and politics.
Tells us exactly what he “was making up” other than what bitter cons, who are panicking, wish was made up.

$50 MILLION!! To restore a house that obviously has not been a popular place for tourists and not important enough for patrons of art to have spent any money on it.
$50 million that the government says we don’t have our healthcare or education or housing.
Why do they not see the insanity of this decision?
Why would you ever, ever put enjoyment of a minuscule percentage of the population ahead of housing, feeding, caring for people?
$50 MILLION for Pete’s sake!
That is a massive amount of money - wasted on frills?
Move the art elsewhere for a few thousands.
This PC Government has absolutely no concept of priorities.
How many affordable government rental units would that build?
How many shelters - of all kinds?

Only the province is responsible for dispersing and deciding where and how healthcare dollars are spent. The feds transfer money to the provinces only for Healthcare, social services, post-secondary education and early education. The provinces will not provide proof of where the money was spent. Of course, the provinces have refused for years to say and prove where that money actually goes, but demand more money.
Why would the feds provide more money?
And did you mean that provincially, we would get a rebate or should not be paying as much in provincial taxes since the feds (us) would be sending more?
Or the feds have us pay more federal tax on top of what we pay both provincially and federally?
It all comes from one place - your pocket. I want every cent publicly accounted for.

Wait - how many new government non-profit LTC homes with advanced care has Ford built since 2018?
None - yeah, that's right.
His mother-in-law was in an LTC Home - West Park in Toronto. Why wasn't Doug, his wife and girls looking after her themselves - they certainly had plenty of money to pay for care.
Why wasn't his family kept at home to free up a bed for others?

He was accused of propositioning a woman - sexual harassment, not sexual assault.

Being able to run your sentences together with all your slogans does not give the impression of anything except the memorized answers of the speaker of slogans that are repeated non-stop at each meeting when the press is in attendance - not often now.
The pause, or "um", is to gather their thoughts.

"People pause or use filler words like "um" during public speaking because they are verbalizing their thought process or signaling a need to gather their thoughts before speaking. These pauses or fillers allow speakers to take a moment to prepare the next part of their message and avoid silence, which can feel awkward. Additionally, pauses can give the audience time to process what they've heard".

Harvard says the same.
Better to gather your thoughts than just ramble on.

Paikin did not control the last debate he moderated very well.
He has control of the mic switch to turn it off and on for each one.
He did not use it enough.
When they go over their time, start arguing with the one speaking, when it's not their time - turn it off.
I understand that for some it's a matter of slinging out slogan after slogan that the others don't agree with and diversion, not answering the question. If they don't start to answer the question quickly, then Paikin should be cutting them off. If they interrupt, cut them off.
Any personal negative attacks on their characters cut them off.
Control the room! That IS the job of the moderator.

Sure - because "accident's" never happen - only planned injuries like planning that a tree limb falls on you, that you turn your ankle and break it, that you slide down an unstable part of the path.

Then make sure, if you are injured, you take full responsibility for all of your costs including no pay for missed work - forever.

This could be a great opportunity for those who don’t have a job to be hired, learn a skill and acquire education while on the job. Wonderful opportunity for high-school, college, university kids and adults after some training. There will be lots of brush and limbs to be moved, so lots to learn about forests and arborists, plus the practical side and safety of using small power tools.
