A traffic stop on Korah Road has led to a drug trafficking charge.
Around 10 p.m. on Wednesday night, officers with the Patrol Services unit of the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service stopped an e-bike on Korah Road.
The operator of the e-bike was found to be breaching the conditions of their undertaking and was arrested.
A search was conducted and police say the accused was found to be in possession of approximately 24 grams of a substance believed to be crystal methamphetamine, worth an estimated $2,400 on the street.
Steven Turco, 38, has been charged with
- possession for the purpose of trafficking
- fail to comply with undertaking (x2)
The accused is being held in custody pending a bail hearing.
