Female to appear in Bail Court: Yesterday evening city police were called to Mark’s Work Wear regarding a female shoplift. Upon arrival officers arrested a female verbally identified as Roxanne Sutherland.

Yesterday evening city police were called to Mark’s Work Wear regarding a female shoplift. Upon arrival officers arrested a female verbally identified as Roxanne Sutherland. It is alleged that the accused attended at Mark’s Work Wear and concealed a pair of coverall in her packsack and then attempted to run away. The accused was apprehended by store security and turned over to city police. As a result of investigations by the police it was learned that the accused was in fact a Loretta Carey, age 28 of 1674 Wellington St. E. Apt # 6. The accused was subsequently charged with one count of theft under $ 5,000, one count of personation and one count of breach of a recognizance. At the time of these offences the accused was on a court release order prohibiting her from attending at the Station Mall.

Yesterday morning city police were called to the Shoppers Drug Mart on Great Northern Rd. regarding a possible forged prescription. Upon arrival officers spoke to the pharmacist and the accused and as a result arrested a 39-year-old male. It is alleged that the accused, Roger Mitchell, of 198 Old Hwy 17 Rd, Goulais River obtained a prescription form from his family doctor and then forged a prescription for a drug.
Mr. Mitchell is charged with one count of utter a forged document. He will be appearing in court on
May 11th at 9:00 am.

Man charged with Criminal Harassment

Yesterday evening city police arrested a 66-year-old male on a charge of criminal harassment. It is alleged that on April 17th, 2009 the accused began staring in the window of his neighbour. The accused is then said to have gone into his garage gotten an axe and made chopping motions with the axe while walking towards the neighbour. Michael Scarfone, age 66 of 40 Wigle St. is charged with one count of criminal harassment.
Mr. Scarfone will be appearing in court on May 25th at 9:00 am.

Personal items were stolen from a vehicle parked in the100 block of Thornloe Cr.
A vehicle parked in the 200 block of Glasgow Ave was entered – it is unknown what was taken.

Bicycles were reported stolen from the 100 block of Muriel Dr. and the 300 block of Huron St.
