Bail Court

1) 18 Year old Michael Brian Leclair was arrested by the Barrie Police Service on outstanding warrants related to a home invasion on the 22 April 2009 at a home in the 200 block of North St. Leclair has been charged with break, enter and commit as well as aggravated assault. The investigation is continuing.

2) On the 30th of April 2009 police were called to a residence in the 200 block of Cathcart St. after a female had been discovered badly injured. The 54 year old victim suffered major injuries and was taken to hospital.
Charged with aggravated assault is Andrew Sheridan Swan age 44 of 222 Albert St. East. This investigation is ongoing.

3) On the 30th of April 2009 at approx. 10:03 pm, a citizen called to report a person operating a motor vehicle in the area of Pilgrim and Wellington while impaired. Responding patrol officers discovered a male operating a 1993 Mercury Villager. The accused was arrested for impaired operation and after being transported to the station did refuse to provide a breath sample. Charged with impaired operation and refusing to provide a breath sample is Lynn Hamilton aged 59 of 344 Dacey Rd. unit 202. He will appear in court on the 08 June 2009.

Thefts

A 2001 Kawasaki dirt bike was reported stolen from a residence in the 300 block of Black Road.

Vehicles were reported entered on Old Garden River Road, Tuckett St. and also on Montgomery Ave. Items reported taken were I-pods, wallets and loose change.
