CHARGES OF THEFT AND FRAUD On or between the 1st of June 2003 to the 30th of June 2003, the accused Corey Walter Evans, age 38 of 356 Rowell Ave. allegedly defrauded a car alarm system valued at over $400.
CHARGES OF THEFT AND FRAUD
On or between the 1st of June 2003 to the 30th of June 2003, the accused Corey Walter Evans, age 38 of 356 Rowell Ave. allegedly defrauded a car alarm system valued at over $400.00 by selling the merchandise to an unsuspecting customer and not submitting the sales receipt to the store, Moore's Audiotronic. City Police were contacted and an investigation was commenced. On October 2nd at 10:15 am detectives arrested and charged Evans with Theft and Fraud under $ 5,000.00. He will appear in court on November 3rd.

ASSAULT CHARGE LAID
On the 1st of October 2003, the accused a 15-year-old young person, assaulted the complainant, an adult male by throwing rocks at him, hitting him a number of times. The adult who was known to the accused was not seriously injured. On the 2nd of October 2003 at 7:30 pm, Patrol Officers arrested and charged the accused with Assault. The youth will appear in court in mid November.

YOUNG OFFENDER CHARGED
On the 18th of September 2003, the mother of a young person applied to revoke her surety on the youth. On the 30th of September 2003 the surety was revoked and on the 2nd of October 2003, patrol officers attended at the young person’s home. After reading the Order for Committal and arresting the youth, the accused a 15 year old proceeded to push past the patrol officers in an attempt to leave. The youth struggled with the officers as the arrest was taking place. With out further incident or injury the youth was arrested and transported to the station.

The young person has been charged with Failing to Comply with a Recognizance, Obstructing Police, and two counts of Breach of Probation. The accused will appear in bail court.

INTOXICATED MALE ARRESTED

At just before midnight last evening patrol officers were called to Reggies Tavern at 458 Queen Street East to remove an intoxicated male. Officers attended at the tavern and arrested and charged Raymond Couture, age 29 of 295 Wellington Street West with Causing a Disturbance by being Drunk, Breach of Probation and Resisting/Obstructing Police. He will appear in court on November 17th.
