Impaired Driving An 86 year old man will appear in court on the 25 May 2009 charged with impaired operation of a motor vehicle as well as consume over the legal limit. It is alleged that the accused was operating a motor vehicle on Friday evening.

An 86 year old man will appear in court on the 25 May 2009 charged with impaired operation of a motor vehicle as well as consume over the legal limit. It is alleged that the accused was operating a motor vehicle on Friday evening. The accused was located on Bay St. and arrested. Joseph Drolet of 592 Frontenac St. was charged.

Fire

Police and fire services are continuing their investigation into a garage fire that occurred in the 800 block of Goulais Ave. on Friday evening.

Break and Enters

Police are investigating a break in to a home on Elmwood Ave. A DVD player and some jewelry was taken

A home in the 100 block of Kohler St. was entered on Saturday and a computer and silverware taken

A break in was reported to a home in the 100 block of Second Line west on Saturday morning, keys to a vehicle parked in the drive way were taken and the culprits stole the 1992 Pontiac Transport van. This was later recovered by police on Queen St. West.

A home on Mayfair was entered some time on Friday and some jewelry taken

A home in the 1200 block of People’s Road was entered on Friday, it has not been determined if anything was taken

Mischief to Property

Police are investigating damage to 4 vehicles on Bristol Place, 1 vehicle on Chartwell and 1 vehicle on Sutton Place, all vehicles were scratched with a sharp object

A vehicle parked Glasgow Ave. had it hood damaged

A vehicle parked in the 1500 block of Wellington St. east was marked up with chalk that is used to mark steel for shipping

A window was broken at 123 East St. on the 25 April 2009 as well as at St. Luke’s Cathedral.

Theft

Patio furniture was taken from a home on St. Basil’s Drive. This happened on the 24 April 2009
