An incident on Tuesday night has led to a pair of charges against a 52-year-old.
Around 9:30 p.m. Tuesday, a 911 call was made reporting that a person pushed someone known to them down the front steps of a residence in the 0-100 block of Copernicus Drive.
Officers with the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service's Patrol Services unit responded, but the suspect had already left by the time officers got there.
Shortly before midnight, the suspect was arrested at the Police Services building after turning himself in.
Randolph Larrett has been charged with:
- assault
- fail to comply with release order
Larrett was held in custody pending a bail hearing.
None of the allegations have been tested in court and Larrett is considered innocent unless proven guilty.
