Female Arrested at Canada Customs for Parental Abduction: A 31 year-old female was arrested on the 11th of June just before 1 am at Canada Customs on Huron Street and charged with one count of parental abduction.
Female Arrested at Canada Customs for Parental Abduction:

A 31 year-old female was arrested on the 11th of June just before 1 am at Canada Customs on Huron Street and charged with one count of parental abduction. Police attended at Canada Customs at approximately 10:45 pm after receiving information from the U.S. Border Patrol that they had turned back a vehicle that contained two U.S. citizens and three Canadians, which included the accused and two children and that the accused was the subject of a lookout. Further information was provided by the RCMP that the female was wanted for parental abduction in Quebec and that the two children involved, both under the age of 12, were with the accused who was being detained at Canadian Customs. Officers attended and took the accused into Custody. The accused is to appear in bail court this morning.

Impaired Driver Arrested after Driving into a Tree:

25 year-old Steven Tanner of 517 Brunswick Avenue was arrested on the 11th of June at 12:50 am on Brunswick Avenue and charged with one count of impaired driving and one count of consume over the legal limit. City police received a call at 12:30 am regarding a vehicle that had struck a tree on Brunswick Avenue. When officers arrived they discovered the Isuzu Impulse with heavy front end damage, resting against the tree and the driver, the accused was under the influence of alcohol and in a very intoxicated state. The accused was not injured. The accused is to appear in court on the 27th of July.

Male Youth Arrested for Break and Enter to Home:

A 14 year-old male youth was arrested at his residence on the 10th of June at 10:50 am and charged with one count of break, enter and commit. It is alleged that on the 30th – 31st of May the accused broke into a house that was under construction on East Balfour and stole some building materials. He is top appear in court on the 14th of July.

Female Arrested after Going Through Vehicles in East End:

30 year-old Celine Gagne of #12-102 Breton Road was arrested on the 10th of June just before midnight on McGregor Avenue and charged with one count of Trespassing at night and one count of enter premises when entry prohibited under the Trespass to Property Act. It is alleged that at a around 11:15 pm city police received a call regarding a suspicious female going through vehciles in the area of Elizabeth Street. A resident also reported the female was inside of their vehicle in the 300 block of Elizabeth Street. Police arrived in the area and located the female walking away from the area. She is to appear in court on the 20th of July.

Shoplifters Charged:

1) On the 10th of June at approximately 3 pm city police received a call from Zellers in the Station Mall regarding three females that were apprehended by store security for shoplifting. It is alleged that the females attended at the store at 2:45 pm pushing a baby carriage and the three placed numerous items inside the carriage and left the store without paying. The two adults, Cherice Carew of #2-54 Cathcart Street and 25 year-old Ashley Gray of #1-54 Cathcart Street and a 15 year-old female youth were all charged with one count of theft under $5,000.00. The adults will appear in court on the 13th of July, the youth on the 14th of July.

2) 37 year-old Clinton Perrault of 222 Albert Street West was arrested on the 10th of June at 11:15 am on Gore Street and charged with one count of theft under $5,000.00 and one count of intoxicated in a public place. It is alleged that on the 10th of June just after 11:10 pm the accused attended at the Mac’s Mart on Gore Street in an intoxicated state, opened up a number of food items, ate them and then left the store without paying. Police were contacted and located the accused just leaving the store. He is to appear in court on the 20th of July.

Male Arrested at Sault Casino:

42 year-old Joseph, Joel Berube of 222 Albert Street East was arrested on the 10th of June at 9 am at the Sault Casino and charged with two counts of breach of a release document and one count of engage in prohibited activity on premises under the Trespass to Property Act. It is alleged that city police received a call to the Casino at around 8:39 yesterday morning regarding the accused causing a disturbance by yelling and swearing at staff after he was asked to leave. When the accused was in the parking lot he kicked several signs. At the time of the incident, the accused was on an undertaking release with conditions to keep the peace and notify change of address which he had not done so since moving. He is to appear in bail court this morning.
