Assault & Mischief

45 year old Scott Levis Peter Wright of 403 Northland Rd will appear in court on the 1st of June 2009 to face charges of assault and 2 counts of mischief. It is alleged the accused attended at a residence at 314 Albert St. where he confronted a male. It is alleged that the accused assaulted the victim knocking him to the ground and then damaged a window to the apartment. The accused then damaged the window to the victim’s car. This incident occurred on the 27 April 2009 at 07:00 pm.

Robbery

24 year old Derek Lethbridge of 369 Cathcart St. was arrested yesterday and charged with one count of robbery. It is alleged that on the 23 April 2009 the accused confronted the victim at the corner of Brock and Albert St.
The accused punched the victim in the face and then took his back pack which contained the victim’s medication. The victim required stitches to his face from the assault. The accused will appear in court on the 1st of June 2009.

Two Youths Charged with Possession

On the 27 April 2009 at approx. 08:40 hours High School Liaison officers were watching an area adjacent to the Zeller’s Plaza on Northern Ave. As a result to persons were arrested and charged under the Controlled Drug and Substances Act. A 14 year old male was charged with possession of cannabis marihuana and a 17 year old male charged with possession for the purpose of trafficking (cannabis marihuana). The have court dates on the 26 May 2009.

Break and Enters

A home on Idaho Drive was entered during the afternoon hours yesterday. A digital camera and a Dell laptop computer were reported taken

A storage unit of an apartment building was entered and a Acer video monitor taken. The apartment is located on St. George’s Ave east in the 300 block.

An attempted break in was reported to Armando’s Hair Castle on McNabb St. This attempted occurred over the weekend sometime.

Mischief to Property

A car was reported to have had it’s paint scratched. This vehicle was parked on Bristol Place and this was probably one of several done during the weekend at this location

A vehicle had its paint damaged as well in the 1000 block of Queen St.
