Three persons to appear in bail court: 1) Yesterday at approx. 3:00 pm city police arrested 27-year-old Shawn Mearow for a breach of a recognizance release order.
Three persons to appear in bail court:

1) Yesterday at approx. 3:00 pm city police arrested 27-year-old Shawn Mearow for a breach of a recognizance release order. It is alleged that the accused was the in company of a male person that he was prohibited from associating with. Shawn Mearow, age 27, of 61 Wellington St. E. Apt 2 is charged with one count of breach of a recognizance.

2) Yesterday afternoon at approx. 4:16 pm city police attended at the Zellers Store in the Station Mall regarding a male shoplifter. It is alleged that the accused, James Syrette, entered the Zellers Store, selected a bottle of cologne and then left the store without paying for the item. Upon arresting the accused the officers located several prescription pills on the accused. The accused was further charged with possession of a substance. It is also alleged that Mr. Syrette failed to appear for court on December 22, 2008 on charges of theft under theft under $ 5,000, possession of a controlled substance, fail to appear for identification purposes and failing to appear for court. James Syrette, age 36, of 44 Nebenaigoching St. is charged with one count of theft under and one count of possession of a substance.

3) At approx 12:45 am this morning city police observed a vehicle travelling at a high rate of speed and swerving into the on coming lanes of traffic on Douglas St. The vehicle was stopped and the driver was spoken to. It is alleged that when the officers spoke to the accused he was under the influence of alcohol. It was also learned that the accused was on a recognizance release order prohibiting him from consuming alcohol. The accused, Corey Blais, age 26 of 84 Central St. was arrested and charged with one count of impaired driving, one count of drive over 80 mgs and one count of breach of a recognizance.

Males arrested for theft:

1) Yesterday evening at approx. 9:20 pm city police arrested Bradley Bruce, age 18, of 190 Greenfield Dr. on a charge of theft under $ 5,000. It is alleged that on the 26th of June at approx.7:00 pm the accused attended at the L.C.B.O. Store in the Station Mall and stole a bottle of vodka. The theft was recorded on video. City police identified the accused from the video and arrested him. Mr. Bruce is charged with one count of theft under
$ 5,000.00 and will be appearing in court on Aug. 10th, at 9:00 am.

2) Yesterday afternoon at approx. 2:25 pm city police attended at the Zellers Store in the Station Mall regarding a male shoplifter. Upon arrival officers spoke to store security and subsequently arrested a 32-year-old male. It is alleged that the accused, Christopher Zalewski, age 32, of 221 Goulais Ave attended at the toy department of the store, selected two toy items and then left the store without making any attempt to pay for the items. The accused was arrested out side the store. Mr. Zalewski will be appearing in court on July 27th at 9:00 am on one count of theft under $ 5,000.00.

Windows were broken at residences in the 600 block of MacDonald Ave and in the 100 block of Albert St. W.
A window was broken on a car parked in the 100 block of Manitou Dr.

Thefts:

Two bicycles were reported stolen yesterday. Bicycles were stolen from residences in the 100 block of Drake St. and the 100 block of Woodward Ave.

The public is reminded that each year city police recover approx 200 stolen and or lost bicycles. If the bicycles are registered with the city police the bikes can be returned to the owner.
