Internal Theft of Medication at Algoma Treatment and Remand Centre: 42 year-old Gail Lajoie of 13 Point Road in Trout Lake Ontario was arrested yesterday afternoon at the City Police station after turning herself in.
Internal Theft of Medication at Algoma Treatment and Remand Centre:

42 year-old Gail Lajoie of 13 Point Road in Trout Lake Ontario was arrested yesterday afternoon at the City Police station after turning herself in. She has been charged with one count of Theft under $5,000.00. It is alleged that sometime between the 2nd of June and the 10th of July the accused, a nurse employed at the Algoma Treatment and Remand Centre, stole 72 Percocet pills while working. She is to appear in court on the 31st of August.

Shoplifters Arrested:

1) A male and female were arrested and charged with one count of Theft under $5,000.00 just before 8 pm last evening after they allegedly attended at the Rome’s Independent Grocers around 7:40 pm and stole $228.70 worth of groceries from the store. They are both to appear in court on the 31st of August.
Charged were 27 year-old Terrance Saunders and 25 year-old Cheryl Pheasant both of 110 Wilding Avenue.

2) 20 year-old Cameron McDonald of #3-109 Carufel Avenue was charged yesterday at 7:21 pm at Joe’s No Frills on Korah Road after he allegedly attended at the store and stole some items from the store. He was charged with one count of Theft under $5,000.00 and is to appear in court on the 31st of August.

Youth Arrested at Local Youth Home:

A 16 year-old male youth was arrested at a local Youth Home at 1:12 am on the 29th of July and charged with one count of Threaten Death or Bodily Harm, one count of Mischief under $5,000.00 and one count of Breach of Probation. It is alleged that just before 1 am last night the accused threatened to slice the throat of a staff member and caused damage to a bedroom door by kicking it. At the time of the incident the accused was on probation with conditions to keep the peace and be of good behaviour. He is to appear in court on the 1st of September.

• Tires of a vehicle parked in the 400 block of Third Avenue were slashed.
• A mailbox on the property of a residence in the 300 block of Black Road.

Theft Report:

• An Iron Horse bicycle was reported stolen from a residence on Terrance Avenue.
