Domestic Related Arrest: A 59 year-old male was arrested on the 16th of June at 9:31 pm at his residence and charged with one count of assault.
Domestic Related Arrest:

A 59 year-old male was arrested on the 16th of June at 9:31 pm at his residence and charged with one count of assault. It is alleged that on the 16th of June the accused got into a verbal argument with his wife at their residence and assaulted her by grabbing her and kicking her. He is to appear in court on the 22nd of July.

Shoplifters Charged:

1) 37 year-old Clinton Perrault of 222 Albert Street East was arrested on the 16th of June on Queen Street East and charged with one count of theft under $5,000.00. It is alleged that on the 14th of June at 12:09 pm the accused attended at the LCBO Store in the Station Mall and stole a bottle of vodka. The incident was captured on store video. He is to appear in court on the 20th of July.

2) A 16 year-old female was arrested on the 16th June at 9:39 pm at the West 49 Store in the Station Mall and charged with one count of theft under $5,000.00. It is alleged that on the 16th of June at approximately 8:45 pm the accused attended at the store and stole a belt. She was apprehended by mall security and held for police. She is to attend court on the 21st of July.

Property Crimes:

Break and Enter Reports:


• A residence on Beech Street was entered on the 16th of June sometime between 12:00 pm and 5 pm. Items reported stolen included a safe with three hand guns, money and jewellery and some prescription medication.
• A residence in the 500 block of Queen Street West was entered sometime between the 12th and 15th of June. A Laptop and morphine medication was reported stolen.
• A residence in the 800 block of Great Northern Road was entered sometime overnight on the 15th – 16th of June.
• A shed on Market Street was broken into sometime between April and May and a weed wacker was reported stolen.

• Make your home appear occupied when you go out.
• Lock all doors and windows.
• Leave lights on and the radio playing.
• Keep your garage door closed and locked.
• Use timing devices to turn inside lights on and off.
• Lock all sheds.
• If you will be gone several days, arrange to have the mail and papers stopped or picked up.
• Inform your trusted neighbours you will be away and ask them to keep an eye on you residence.
• Half of all home burglaries occur during the day when alert neighbors could spot and report the thieves.
