Three break-ins were reported to city police overnight. A residence in the 1100 block of Goulais Avenue was broken into between July 23 and the 24 and the homeowner reported two long guns and his passport stolen.

On July 20, 2016 at approximately 5:45 p.m. officers with the Sault Ste. Marie Crime Suppression Unit observed a male walking in the downtown area that was wanted on an outstanding arrest warrant.

On July 16, 2016, City Police responded to a call in the area of Hughes Street. Investigation revealed that a lone male allegedly was entering a bedroom window and was confronted by the occupant of the residence.

On July 13, 2016 at 8:10 p.m. city police arrested 36-year-old Jolene Eden Lunius of Church street. The accused was observed by officers on Wellington Street East and she was wanted on several outstanding arrest warrants.
