On July 7, 2015 at 6 p.m. a resident in the 100-block of Shannon Road reported a break and enter. The victim advised police that 5 guitars, a Sony Vaio laptop computer, two watches and rings, along with some medication was taken.

On July 6, 2015, city police responded to a motor vehicle collision in the area of Melrose Avenue. On attending officers found that two vehicles had collided causing one vehicle to leave the roadway and collide with a residence.

On July 5, 2015 at 9:30 p.m., city police arrested and charged a 36-year-old female with assault with a weapon and assault in regard to a domestic investigation.

On July 4, 2015 at 6:50 p.m., City Police responded to a motor vehicle collision on Willow Avenue. Witness information was that a vehicle was northbound on Willow Ave.

A 37 year old female will appear in court on August 10th after being arrested and charged with 2 counts of breach of probation. 46 year old Jerry Martineau of Bruce Street was arrested on an outstanding warrant from 2006 for failing to attend court.

On July 3, 2015 at 04:15 hrs, City Police arrested and charged Tyler Ross, 28 years, of Grosvenor Ave. with mischief under $5000. It is alleged that Mr. Ross smashed four windows at The Beer Store located at 250 Bruce St. Mr.

An inmate at the ATRC was arrested today by City Police for assaulting a jail guard on the 21st of June. The inmate was also on two Probation orders. He was charged with one count of assault and two counts of failing to keep the peace.

On June 27, 2015 at 11:30 p.m., Janice Lee Myers, 48 years, of August Street was arrested by the OPP on a first-instance warrant held by the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service.

In the early morning hours of June 27, City Police officers had occasion to check a suspicious vehicle parked behind a local school. As officers approached the vehicle, a strong smell of marihuana was detected.
