City Police Beat

Money was taken from a vehicle parked in the 600 block of Shafer Ave. sometime overnight. A vehicle driven by 39 year old Anthony Zagordo of 235 Simpson Street was struck by a Huron Central Railway train on Sunday afternoon.

47 year old Geoffrey Scott Chamings of 181 James St. #4 was charged by City Police for theft on March 16th. It is alleged that Mr.Chamings was at the downtown Wal-Mart when he left the store without paying for an undisclosed amount of X-box games.

A 42 year old female was arrested early this morning as a result of a domestic dispute in the city's westend. The woman is charged with assault and mischief. She will appear in bail court on Monday March 18th.

Detectives from the City Police arrested 37 year old Sara Bower of 484 Shannon Rd. on an outstanding warrant earlier today.

Afternoon release: In the early morning hours of March the 13 th , 2013 Ryan McLeish, age 18 of 24 Walters St. Sault Ste. Marie did attempt to steal the contents of a Buick sedan parked beside a residence on Pine Street.

City Police officers responded to an accident with injuries on March 10 th at 7:15 p.m.

18 year old Kelsey Haskett of 136 Turner Ave. was charged early this morning for Impaired Driving and Consuming over the legal limit. City Police officers responded to a motor vehicle collision call in the area of St.Georges Ave. across from St.

Afternoon release: On the 8 March 2013 police attended an address in the Hugill St area. An argument ensued over a civil matter that led to a roofing contractor threatening a homeowner.

Afternoon release: On March 7, 2013 officers were called to a theft of gasoline valued at $72.62 from the East Side Husky. After receiving a description of the vehicle officers observed a vehicle matching the description west bound on Trunk Road.
