City Police Beat

On February 23, 2013 at approximately 5:30am officers attended at a domestic disturbance in the 3800 block of Queen Street East. It is alleged that a female assaulted her partner by punching him in the face.

On February 22nd, 2013 officers arrested a female on outstanding probation and parole warrants. The warrants date back to 2008 and 2009.

City Police arrested 20 year old Jake Pelletier of 30 Wellington Street East was arrested on February 21st for a Break and Enter which occurred in July 2012.

13 Motor Vehicle accidents have been reported to the City Police and the Collision reporting centre since 5 am this morning. * * * A passenger side window was smashed out of a vehicle parked on Ontario Ave. between the Crescent and Simpson St.

A 37 year old male was arrested and will be appearing in bail court tomorrow.

28 year old Rosemary Pheasant of 28 B Wellington St E was observed walking in the downtown area. It was learned that she had warrants outstanding for her and she was arrested.

Arrests/Charged Persons: On the 17 of February at approximately 5:45 a.m. City Police conducted a traffic stop on North St. A records check of the driver revealed an outstanding warrant for Breach of Probation.

26 year old Laura Perrault of 62 Capp Ave was charged with one count of Assault Causing Bodily Harm and one count of Unlawfully in a Dwelling House. It is alleged that the accused and the victim got into an argument over a parking spot.

Arrest: On Feb. 15th at approximately 3:30 pm Patrol Officers located a 52 year old wanted for Breaching his Probation.

On Feb. 14th, 2013 Patrol Officers were involved in a traffic stop on St. Georges Ave. in Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario. Officers’ learned from the driver of the motor vehicle that he did not have a drivers licence.
