After confirming eight new COVID-19 cases in the region on Sunday, Algoma Public Health announced Monday evening another case in the region.
The 56th case in Algoma, the person is currently self-isolating and was tested earlier today.
The exposure category for the individual was close contact.
Close contact means the person was infected through close contact with a person who was a known confirmed case.
